We found this video as a result of meeting one of the members of LA’s Sporting Life aka The Los Angeles Cocktail Community. The organization was founded in March of 2008 by bartender Marcos Tello to bring together bartenders and serious cocktail enthusiasts to raise the status of cocktails in this historic cocktail city of Los Angeles. That’s fine by us.

Dutch Kills is a bar in Long Island City aka LIC (Queens) New York – just across the water from the city of Manhattan. The historic location dates back to 1643 when setlers from the Netherlands established farming villages throughout what is now Queensboro Plaza. On May 1, 2009 this bar opened to the public with Dutch Kills on the door in honor of the neighborhood’s enduring legacy. The menu contains 10 ultra-premium cocktails that we can’t wait to try. Seeing as we’ve been on a mezcal kick we anticipate the first round of drinks to include at least one Pinche Bueno.

Pinche Bueno
1 1/2 oz. Mezcal
3/4 oz. Bonded Applejack
3/4 oz. Aperol

Stir, and strain into a chilled 5 1/2 oz. coupe. Garnish with an orange twist.
