Directed David Gelb’s feature film debut, “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” gives an inside look at Sukiyabashi Jiro and it’s chef Jiro Ono, who is 85 in the film. The 10-seat, fixed-menu restaurant garnered three stars in Michelin’s inaugural Tokyo guide.

The NY Times review states, “…despite foodie-baiting close-ups of nigiri sushi brushed with soy sauce, and montages of skillful food prep, the film falls short as a satisfying exploration of craft.”
