The Cook Street School of Culinary Arts and the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver have partnered to create Recipe for Business. A one-of-a-kind course specially designed for culinary professionals. The initial program kicks off all day Saturday March 24, 2012 and then meets on Mondays and Tuesday (5-8PM) through April 24, 2012.
Perfect for the entrepreneur looking to launch a line of baked kale chips, specialty catering company or gourmet sandwich shop. The program overview claims “you will walk away with what will be the key ingredient to success: a fully completed and dynamic business plan.”
As part of the experience program participants will receive:
- Insight into the restaurant industry’s unique complexities gained from local entrepreneurs and successful business owners and CEOs
- Industry analysis of trends, the marketplace and competition
- Guidance in creating necessary tools to attract investors and mange financials
- Direction in establishing the appropriate legal entity
- Tools for building relationships and creating an environment of collaboration
- Integrity and ethical advice when influencing stakeholders
- Fundamentals of strategic marketing and latest social media tactics crucial in connecting with Gen X & Y
- Innovative strategies for growth
